  • Long-term partnership kicks off with exclusive Money 20/20 coverage
  • Relationship spans television, digital and social across UK & Europe
  • First major media partnership in a landmark year for the new Equals brand

Equals, the next-generation global money movement platform, has announced a strategic content partnership with global news organisation, CNN International.

This long-term collaboration will showcase the latest thinking and innovation in payments technology to CNN’s global audience of business leaders. It marks Equals’ first brand activation at this scale and comes just weeks after its rebrand, and another year of significant double-digit growth. Equals surpassed £58 billion in transaction processing volume in 2025/26.

The Equals and CNN partnership launched at Money 20/20 - the global stage for technology innovation in financial services - where Equals unveiled its new brand. Equals collaborated with CNN International’s award-winning brand studio, Create, to film a branded content series at the event. The content profiles the breadth of Equals’ technology for businesses to collect, manage, convert and send payments, featuring unique industry insights, executive interviews and Equals’ Money 20/20 stage appearance.

The partnership content will run across CNN’s television, social and digital platforms to reach a global audience of business and technology decision makers. This builds on Equals’ exclusive sponsorship of CNN’s Business Evolved digital series and TV sponsorship of Marketplace Europe, showcasing business innovation and technology. It also draws on Equals’ research with Visa Consulting & Analytics exploring embedded finance and payments trends, giving CNN access to proprietary industry insights.

Justin Hannemann, SVP Marketing at Equals, says: “Money movement is critical in today’s interconnected world, and we wanted a strategic partnership that could bring our story to business leaders shaping the future of finance. Working with CNN gives us a platform to showcase the latest insights and research shaping our industry, and we’re excited to build on our initial launch.”

Cathy Ibal, SVP, Head of International Ad Sales, CNN International Commercial, says: “With a vast and influential business audience across CNN’s multiple platforms, Equals is able to effectively reach finance leaders and key decision makers through this strategic campaign.  We’re happy to be partnering with them on this initiative and producing a suite of engaging branded content that highlights the far-reaching benefits of its embedded finance proposition in a lively and easily accessible way.”

Equals is the embedded technology platform businesses use to power their payments, accounts, cards and FX, and to build and operate services for their customers.

Equals combines innovative compliance models, premium servicing and modern payment solutions to solve payments complexity, from fragmented relationships and slow settlements to currency volatility and reconciliation. Its technology platform is built on 20 years of financial services expertise and innovation, rigorous compliance and security.
