Equals has partnered with The Payments Shed Podcast to produce The Embedded Finance Sessions, an eight-part video series recorded live from the Equals stand at Money20/20 Europe 2026 in Amsterdam.

Across eight conversations, Payments Shed hosts Grant Evans and Justin Hanna sat down with founders, operators, and industry leaders to explore what it really takes to deliver embedded finance at scale. The series features Mariano Diaz, Chief Banking Officer at XACE; Nacho Gironella, Head of Sales Europe at Paymentology; Michael Donald, CEO of ImageNPay; Louisa Murray, Chief Sales Officer at Equals; Albert Wong, SVP at OSL; Piers Horak, CEO of AI Corp; Harry Maurice, Director at Visa Consulting & Analytics; and Jim McCarthy, CEO of Thredd.

One theme runs through every episode: the technology is no longer the hard part. From accessing banking infrastructure and turning strategy into reality, to the partnerships that determine execution and the service gap that opens up once programmes go live, the series unpacks what separates embedded finance that works from embedded finance that just launches.

The series builds on new research conducted by Equals and Visa Consulting & Analytics, which found that many platforms are struggling to manage the complexity of embedded finance once they move beyond launch — with poor servicing directly impacting revenue.
