When is the next HICP data released?

The next release of the EU Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices (HICP) data is scheduled for Wednesday, 18 June 2025, at 10:00 UTC. This will be the publication of final data for May 2025.

Published monthly by Eurostat (the EU's statistics office), the HICP is the EU's official measure of inflation, designed to make price changes comparable across all EU member states.

This release will provide comprehensive inflation figures for all EU member states, offering insights into the region's economic health and potentially influencing monetary policy decisions by the European Central Bank (ECB).

Many countries within the EU have their own CPI (Consumer Price Index), but these aren’t always comparable across borders. The HICP standardises definitions, coverage, and methodology for EU-wide consistency.
