The next release of the euro area Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices (HICP) data is scheduled for Wednesday, 16 April 2025, at 10:00 UTC. This will be the publicaton of final data for March 2025.
Published monthly by Eurostat (the EU's statistics office), the HICP is the EU's official measure of inflation, designed to make price changes comparable across all EU member states.
Many countries have their own CPI (Consumer Price Index), but these aren’t always comparable across borders. The HICP standardises definitions, coverage, and methodology for EU-wide consistency.
